Björklingelåten is a tune that comes to us usually attributed to the fiddler known as “Gås Anders”, who lived in Björklinge, in the province of Uppland. Some also credit “Gåsvikarn”, a fiddler from Väddö in Uppland.
The tune is a gånglåt, or walking tune.
To the left is a statue of Gås Anders that stands near the church in Björklinge. It was made by Bror Hjorth, a prominent sculptor in Uppland.
