Polska efter Kling
This Polska efter Kling is a typical fast polska from the area of Lekvattnet, in the province of Värmland.
There is not much known about Henrik Kling, other than that he died in the 1890’s. His work took him traveling around the region, so he picked up tunes and spread them around.
A fiddler named Oskar Julius Nilsson from Lekvattnet learned many tunes from Kling, and they are preserved in the collection Svenska Låtar, of which this is #23 in the Värmland volume.
To the left is a video of me playing this Polska efter Kling.
