Polska efter Spel Gulle

Spel Gulle was the nickname of a fiddler named Gullik Gulliksson.   He was born in 1818 in the town of Borgsjö, province of Medelpad, and died in the 1890’s.

  He was one of a trio of fiddlers of his time who dominated the tradition in Medelpad.  His tunes were preserved by a host of fiddlers, notably Gullik Alfred Falk (1875-1928), from whom we get this tune.
