Vals efter Nils Brogren

Nils Brogren was a fiddler born in 1833 in the province of Västergötland.  At age 26 he moved to the province of Halland, where he eventually became a much-in-demand wedding fiddler.  He died in 1899 in Släp, in the northwestern corner of the province.

He was both father and grandfather of noted fiddlers in Halland, who carried his tunes into the 20th century.

The son of Nils, Fritz Oskar Brogren, was represented in the Svenska Låtar collection, mostly with schottisches and waltzes.
