on some airlines.<\/li><li>Wearing masks is not required in Sweden, but social distancing is \u00a0Almost all financial transactions are done electronically by credit card, by an app called &#8220;Swish&#8221;, or otherwise.<\/h4>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-6d32f20\" data-id=\"6d32f20\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div with you.\u00a0 They are difficult to convert to Swedish money &#8211; even banks do not handle cash!<\/li><li>There are ATMs in most places where you can withdraw cash with either credit or debit cards.\u00a0 \u00a0Make sure your PIN for each card is only 4 digits .\u00a0 Also, choose cards to take that do not charge an extra fee for international transactions.\u00a0<\/li><li>MasterCard and Visa are universally accepted, American Express is common, but Discover is not used much in Sweden.<\/li><li>Except in situations where you are dealing with individuals rather than businesses, you will not need cash.\u00a0 \u00a0Even buying a candy bar at a grocery is usually done with credit card!<\/li><li>The basic monetary unit of Sweden is the krona, or crown.\u00a0 It is pluralized as kronor, and price tags use the acronym SEK.\u00a0 The exchange rate between dollar and Swedish krona can vary over the year.\u00a0 \u00a0At present, the krona is equal to 10 1\/2 cents American.<\/li><li>Coins are in denominations of 1, 2, 5, and 10 kronor:\u00a0 equivalent to\u00a0 a dime, a quarter, a 50-cent piece, and a dollar.<\/li><li>Paper money is in different colors and sizes, to make it easier to differentiate the denominations.\u00a0 \u00a0It comes in values of 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, and 1,000 kronor:\u00a0 about 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100
