&#8220;pust&#8221; being the sound made.<\/p><p>\u00a0 Pusten was an influential fiddler from the village of Rogsta, in H\u00e4lsingland.\u00a0 Among the tunes in his repertoire are several polskas unique to his legacy alone.\u00a0 \u00a0They have no variants in other parts of Sweden.<\/p><p>I was told once that a H\u00e4lsingland fiddler played some of Pusten&#8217;s tunes in Norway once, and an elderly woman told him that she recognized them as tunes her father had played.\u00a0 \u00a0Her father was from Russia.\u00a0 Rogsta is near the Baltic coast, and Russian ships used to go to Sweden for both peaceful and warlike purposes.\u00a0 It is very possible that some Russian musician met Pusten on some occasion and exchanged some tunes with him.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-33 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-f46a370\" data-id=\"f46a370\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-37b33a3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"37b33a3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/folksweden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/100_0219-1024x768.jpg\" class=\"attachment-large size-large wp-image-317\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"http:\/\/folksweden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/100_0219-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/folksweden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/100_0219-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/folksweden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/100_0219-768x576.jpg 768w, http:\/\/folksweden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/100_0219-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, http:\/\/folksweden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/100_0219-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-33 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-c23fa35\" data-id=\"c23fa35\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-390d6db elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"390d6db\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>This particular Pusten Polska is nicknamed &#8220;H\u00f6ga Pusten&#8221;
