\u00a0 \u00c5 J\u00e4nta \u00e5 Jag\u00a0<\/b>is a song tune that is an essential part of the Swedish national culture.\u00a0 It was composed around the beginning of the 20th century, and was already recorded in 1904.<\/p>

The composer was Fredrik August Dahlgren, from the province of V\u00e4rmland.\u00a0 \u00a0It has become a standard dance tune and song dance in every corner of Swden since then.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Considered a “gammaldans (old-time dance” tune, it is seldom played nowadays by fiddlers except at Midsommar and Christmas festivities.\u00a0 \u00a0But EVERYONE in Sweden knows it, and it is most often either sung or played on accordion.<\/p>

On YouTube there are scores of recordings, almost all of them either song or accordion.\u00a0 There are also some recordings there of regional dance variations of the tune.<\/p>
