This\u00a0L\u00e5ngdans efter Pehr Christiansson<\/strong> is named for a fiddler in the province of Sk\u00e5ne.<\/p>

It was played traditionally for the dance called\u00a0l\u00e5ngdans<\/strong>, or “long dance”.\u00a0 \u00a0In the dance, participants hold hands or link arms, and step in time to the music, following the lead of the person at the front of the line.<\/p>

Farther north in Sweden, the l\u00e5ngdans is usually done to a polska-type melody, but it can also be done in duple time, as with this tune.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
