Liten Karin<\/strong> is a polska from Dalarna.\u00a0 \u00a0There are many variations of it, some including a third part.\u00a0 \u00a0It is one of the more popular Dala tunes that is used as a\u00a0hambo<\/strong><\/a> (a generic polska dance enjoyed by Swedes and by afficianados of Swedish dancing).<\/p>

\u00a0“Little Karin” is the translation of the title.\u00a0 It may refer to an old Swedish folk song.\u00a0 \u00a0One reference I have seen refers to another song, saying “lyrics not appropriate for print”.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In my search for YouTube videos of\u00a0Liten Karin<\/strong>, I came upon many recordings of the old folk song in a minor key.\u00a0 \u00a0I finally found a recording of Swedish fiddlers playing it here<\/a> under the name\u00a0Polska efter R\u00f6j\u00e5s Erik Andersson, Boda<\/strong>, which you may notice is the same name as another tune on our list here, #104.<\/p>
