\u00a0\u00a0Rapp-Kalles Vals<\/strong> is a favorite tune among Uppland fiddlers.\u00a0 It is really a must-know tune should you ever get into a jam session in Uppland.<\/p>

Rapp-Kalle (Carl Johan Med\u00e9n) was born in 1843, and died in 1906.\u00a0 He led a hard life, born fatherless, and having many financial troubles.<\/p>

He began playing the fiddle when he met fiddlers in northern H\u00e4lsingland, where he lived for a while.\u00a0 \u00a0Returning to Uppland, his playing for weddings and other events supplemented his otherwise meager income.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

He never learned to read music, but others wrote out the tunes he was noted for playing.<\/p>

\u00a0 This waltz is by far the best-known of his tunes.\u00a0 In three parts, the first reprise is 8 measures, the second 15, and the third 17.<\/p>
