Allfingerpolskan

/

Allfingerpolskan (The All-Finger Polska) is a tune that was played by the master fiddler Lapp-Nils from Jämtland.  He died in 1875, but left a great number of students.  One of these was Per Danielsson, born in 1827.

Danielsson was interviewed in 1903 and many of his tunes collected for the huge publication “Svenska Låtar”.  This is one of the tunes presented in the collection.

The picture on the left is a sculpture dedicated to Lapp-Nils in his home village of Offerdal.

Here is a YouTube video of a Jämtland fiddler playing Allfingerpolskan.
