Gånglåt efter Spel Jonte

This walking tune is from the town of Gnarp, in Hälsingland.  The tune is found in the collection “Svenska Låtar – Hälsingland”, as played by the great fiddler Pelle Schenell, born 1855.  Schenell learned it from an older fiddler, Johan Johansson, known as Spel Jonte, who emigrated to America in 1900.
