Skänklåt till Spelman

  This is a tune from Dalarna.  It is a skänklåt, or gift-giving tune.  This kind of tune, usually a march variant, is a ceremonial tune played when gifts are being presented, such as at a wedding.

This particular skänklåt is dedicated to the fiddler, and it might have been played at a dance when the fiddler was expecting money (or a drink?).
