\u00a0This tune was famously played by the great fiddler, G\u00e5s Anders.\u00a0 He was a smith, and lived in Bj\u00f6rklinge, in the province of Uppland.\u00a0<\/p>

G\u00e5s Anders made a habit of using this as the final dance of the evening when he played for dancing, hence the name “Sista Polskan”, meaning “The Last Polska”.<\/p>

His memory has been honored with a statue by the sculptor Bror Hjorth.\u00a0 It stands beside the road at the church in Bj\u00f6rklinge.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
